The DIGITAL.PLUS 25 funding programme supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Upper Austria in the implementation of digitalization projects. The aim is to increase competitiveness through automation and digitalization, efficient data management and improved IT security.

SMEs based in Upper Austria that are active members of the Upper Austrian Chamber of Commerce (WKOÖ) and are in good financial health are eligible to apply. Companies that offer digitalization services themselves or have already received funding from the “Digital Starter 2022” or “Digital Starter 2023” programmes are excluded.

Funding is available for digitization projects with minimum investment costs of EUR 10,000 in the following areas.

  • Automation and digitalization: Optimization of business processes through digital technologies.

  • Data management and artificial intelligence: Efficient use and analysis of data for decision-making.

  • Secure IT systems and cyber security: measures to protect against cyber threats and to secure the IT infrastructure.

The funding amounts to up to 40% of the eligible costs, up to a maximum of 8,000 euros. At least 20% of the project costs must be spent on external consulting or IT services.

  • Application period:
    March 17, 2025 to December 1, 2025.

  • Billing period:
    July 1, 2025 to February 2, 2026.

  2. Self-check: Check whether the company is generally eligible for funding.

  3. Submit the application: If the result is positive, submit the application online.

After submission, the application is checked and an acceptance or rejection is sent by e-mail.
