Live localization

The most frequently used function of the GPS Fleet software is GPS live tracking. In the live view, the current GPS position of the mobile objects is displayed in color with the current trip status. The GPS live view of the GPS Fleet software summarizes the most important GPS tracking functions for fleets, construction machinery or mobile devices such as containers or small appliances.

  • Show current GPS position on map. You can choose between different map views.
  • Display current trip status, addresses and direction of travel. The trip status is differentiated by color. Vehicles that have not been active for a longer period of time are displayed in orange.
  • The current drivers, speed, mileage, operating hours and the status of other inputs are displayed.
  • The list of vehicles (1 to over 5,000) can be searched and filtered by vehicle name, vehicle type or other criteria.

WHY SERVICE TECHNICIANS NEED LIVE GPS LOCATION

In many industries, the vehicles and employees on the road are the service providers. In some sectors, such as breakdown services or earthworks, GPS tracking is essential. But everyday life is also often hectic for tradespeople and breakdown services and is characterized by many telephone enquiries as to where employees are currently working and which tasks have already been completed. VEHICLE TREE FOR ORGANIZATION

Fleets and vehicles can be organized by group in the vehicle tree.

  • Vehicle groups provide a better overview; vehicles can be categorized according to locations, branches or departments, for example.
  • Devices can be moved between the vehicle groups using drag & drop or via interfaces.
  • Users can be assigned to the individual vehicle groups.
  • Alarms can be easily activated or edited for all construction machines or construction equipment in a group.

Users can choose between different maps. In addition to openstreetmaps, Google Maps and Bing Maps are also available. Satellite images and the display of traffic flow and traffic jams are possible.

GEOFENCE DISPLAY

Historic lane

In addition to live GPS positioning, the display of routes traveled and lanes is a very important function in GPS positioning. The lane display provides a quick overview of completed tasks, visited addresses or customers. By default, the GPS lane goes back 100 days, but can also be extended.

  • Selection of past periods,
  • Simultaneous display of several devices
  • Display of stops, geofences

The GPS history can also show where a vehicle was traveling within the city, here using the example of the city of Zurich at Zurich main station. GPS lanes can vary in accuracy depending on the telematics device used, and the accuracy also depends on external factors.

With the display of the historical lanes, standing times, waiting times and breaks can be analyzed, such as here a stop at Munich Airport.

With the vehicle diagrams function , the GPS history can be used to display the tank levels or the battery level of electric vehicles in order to recognize the development of the tank level or refuelling or charging processes. RPMs can also be displayed.

Individual journeys can be analyzed clearly, the kilometers driven, the duration of the journey and the duration of the stops are displayed with the lane at a glance.
