But does this make sense?  <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-1 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-two\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h2 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\">Why change tires?<\/h2><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>Changing from winter tires to summer tires ensures better driving characteristics at higher temperatures. Summer tires have a harder rubber compound, which provides more grip on warm roads, shortens braking distances and reduces fuel consumption. Winter tires, on the other hand, wear out more quickly in summer conditions and offer less grip.  <\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-three\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h3 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\">Does changing tires make sense for a fleet?<\/h3><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p>Yes, changing tires makes sense, especially for fleets, to ensure safety and efficiency. Worn winter tires increase the risk of accidents and fuel consumption. Changing tires also avoids costs caused by excessive tire wear.  <\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-3 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-four\" style=\"--awb-margin-top-small:10px;--awb-margin-right-small:0px;--awb-margin-bottom-small:10px;--awb-margin-left-small:0px;\"><h4 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left\" style=\"margin:0;\">Is it allowed to drive with winter tires in Austria in summer?<\/h4><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-4\"><p>There is no legal regulation that prohibits the use of winter tires in summer, but there is a safety-related question. As already mentioned, winter tires have a softer rubber compound and a deeper tread, which can lead to faster wear and poorer road grip in hot summer temperatures. In addition, fuel consumption increases as winter tires have a higher rolling resistance.  <\/p>\n<p>In the event of an accident with winter tires in summer temperatures, this could even have an impact on the insurance company&#8217;s liability, as the tire conditions do not meet the requirements for safe driving in warm weather.
